If Cocktails In The Library had a moscot book, it would be this beauty! My sister gave me a copy as a Christmas gift, and if there was an award for Best Gift Ever, she may have won it with this one!
Tequila Mockingbird – Cocktails with a Literary Twist by Tim Federle
At its core, it’s a basic bar book. It explains standard glassware, bar equipment and basic spirits. But when it comes to the recipes, this is where it stands out.
The drink names are a play on words of works for literature. For example, the first recipe is One Flew Over the Cosmo’s Nest, hinting at One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (1962) by Ken Kesey. The author includes “wry commentary” for each novel.
Per the back cover, the book features 65 delicious drink recipes and also includes bar bites, drinking games and whimsical illustrations
